Building/Packaging the project

  • Open your Unity project with the imported VRG Unity plugin
  • Select File > Build Settings in the main menu
  • Make sure that ‘Architecture’ is set to ‘x86_64
  • Add your scene to the Build window (if it isn’t already there)
  • Click on the Build button
  • Select a desired Build folder
  • Enter the name for the .exe binary and click on Save
  • You can test your built project by running the .exe binary in the Build folder (You’ll see a warning message if the XTAL headset isn’t connected to your computer, but you can still run the project and test it without the headset)
  • If you want to distribute your built project, you only need to copy the Build folder (containing .exe binary and _Data folder) – the VRG Unity plugin is automatically integrated in the build files
