  • Recommended codecs and formats
    • video files – we recommend using H.264 codec in MKV or MP4 container for video files up to 8k resolution (for higher resolutions we recommend using H.265 codec, which is more flexible but also slower for decoding than H.264)
    • image files – we recommend using JPG or PNG containers for best ratio of quality and compression, or TIFF container for lossless images (the image subsampling should be chroma quartered (4:2:0) to ensure proper color palette)
